Welcome

Starting or re-starting therapy is a vulnerable process. Maybe you feel daunted, frustrated or just find it tedious. I am here to help.

Regardless of the reason you want to start therapy, just beginning is the greatest step.

I am a relationship focused and trauma informed therapist offering individual, couple and family therapy in Washington DC and online.  I help couples and families improve and repair relationships and I help individuals find healing and connection within and with others.

When relationship distress brings you to therapy, emotions can run high.

It is confusing and alarming when a relationship that was once safe and exciting becomes the cause of distress or frustration.  As you journey through the phases of life together from new love to marriage to parenting or new life goals, you sometimes get stuck in frustrating patterns and repeated conflicts that leave you feeling confused, lonely, angry or resentful.  Somewhere along the way, the feeling of support, connection and safety together has eroded.

In individual therapy, I join with you to establish safety and connection so we can explore the challenges you face. 

If you are like many of my clients, you have endured trauma early in life or as an adult.  

Trauma is an overwhelming experience that challenges your ability and capacity to respond and impacts many areas of your life.

We will use experiential tools that help to resolve trauma and get unstuck to create the internal space needed to grow as you move forward.

I use research based, experiential models in therapy to keep us focused on your goals and healing process.
